[mythtv-users] remote frontend audio problem

hello everyone. i am replying to myself because somehow i managed to 
miss Mike's reply form yesterday, which
i have only just run across while googling for further information on 
this topic. Mike, thanks for your reply.
i have been reading up on the asoundrc file, yet i am still not sure 
what the format is used by the backend
recording that i need to have alsa on the remote frontend convert to. 
how do i find this out? i am thinking
what i need to do is set the buffer_time value and maybe other 
attributes in the asoundrc file, does this sound right?
