[mythtv-users] Setting up DVB-S (Error tuning to transport)

Hi.

I have a motorised satellite dish. With my satellite set-top box I can
successfully point it to the different satellites by specifying the
satellite's location.

Could someone please confirm the following:

I'm trying to setup a NEXUS-S DVB-S card. I have defined my capture card
as dvb:0:

Card #: 0
Card name: ST STV0299 DVB-S
Card type: DVB-S
Disecq input type: Disecq v1.3 positioner (goto x)

This gives me 19 inputs. Do I understand correctly that each different
satellite (Astra 1, Hotbird 1-5, Turksat 1C, etc) will connect to a
different input? Because this is what I did:

I defined 3 different video sources "Astra 1", "Hotbird 1-5" and
"Turksat 1C".

On the input connections screen I pointed Input1 to the Astra 1 video
source, Input2 to the Hotbird 1-5 video and Input3 to the Turksat 1C
video source.

Then I went to the Channel Editor screen, selected the Astra1 video
source and let it scan for channels. I filled in a known transponder on
the tuning screen (Note that I don't have any transponders defined under
Advanced options on the Channel Editor screen because the tuning screen
allows me to set these parameters as well and having one didn't make a
difference). These are the tuning parameters:

Frequency: 11597000000
Symbol rate: 22000
Inversion: auto
FEC: 5/6
Polarity: Vertical

It then tries to find channels, but after a short period I get the
following error message:

"Error tuning to transport".

However, the Signal strength and the Signal/noise bars were showing
(both around 60/70%).

Here is the output from lsmod:

Excuses for the lenghty message, I hope someone can help me tuning the
channels.

Kind regards,
Nes
