[mythtv-users] wired or wireless mythfrontend on EPIA 10K Nehemiah with FC2 & kernel 2.6.8.1-epia1 and render_state: Assertion `render->mv_blocks' failed?

Hi all,

I know that getting mythfrontend to run on EPIA Nehemiah is a struggle but I'm
getting closer...

I have followed these instructions for FC2 and successfully built and installed
all drivers.

I'm using CVS dates 2004-11-05 for DRM, Via X-Server driver and Via XvMC
library.

http://www.kingcot.eclipse.co.uk/unichrome/fc2/unichromeOnFedora.html

I'm running FC2 with 2.6.8.1-epia1. This kernel is successfully patched to
support 16K stacks as per

http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader/wlan/downloads-patches.php.

Eventually (once frontend runs ok over 100Mbps) I'm planning to run wireless
frontend with Linksys WUSB54Gv2.

1) Is 54G wireless link wide enough to support wireless frontend? Or should I
upgrade to 108Mbps wlan-g link?
Can anybody share success stories about runninng wireless frontend on EPIA?

2) Can somebody post what should /etc/modules.conf and /etc/modprobe.conf files
look like on EPIA box running frontend (either wired or wireless)?

Also output of lsmod is useful to see.

3) What are the optimal/correct frontend settings for EPIA? This is really
unclear for me.

4) Is there a way to 'validate' that you have all EPIA hw features properly in
action after you have built and installed all (DRM, XvMC Via X-server) drivers?

5) Now when running cvs 0.18.1.20050523-1 frontend over 100Mbps and trying to
watch recorded shows from backend I get this error message
(output of mythfrontned -v playback,network)

mythfrontend: xvmcvideo.c:202: render_state: Assertion `render->mv_blocks'
failed.
(Output of dmesg and lspci is at the end of this message)

Here is more log file. Please ignore messages about /dev/dsp.

My feeling is that it is all because of incorrect frontend settings on EPIA?

Thanks a lot in advance.
