[mythtv-users] Audio is different (degraded) when recording then
when watching live TV

When I watch "live" TV I have no audio problems. However, when I
watch something recorded or start recording something I am watching,
the audio is significantly degraded (static-like).
I was under the impression that "live" TV is nothing more than a three
second delayed recording.
My live TV and recording profiles have identical audio settings. I am
using a PVR 250 to record with.
I thought there was something wrong with my built in audio (I am using
an Asus P4P800-E motherboard with Realtek ALC850 sound chip) so I
installed a Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo III 7.1(Cirrus Logic
Sound Fusion CS4624 sound chip). Same result.
I assume MythTV is using OSS drivers since when I exit the frontend, I
see a comment about OSS drivers being loaded.
Any ideas how I can fix my audio problems? Anyone else have the same problem?
Thanks in advance...
