[mythtv-users] help! mythbackend going off line without warning

Hi there,
I've run mythbackend very happily for quite awhile now and been
pretty happy, but we haven't had much storage, only about 17 hours, so
I decided to bring some new storage online. I was building a new
MythTV frontend only box so I placed the disk in that machine and
allowed it to be mounted only my the mythbackend server using NFS. It
works fine, but it seems that possibly during mythcommflag jobs the
backend server is going offline without any warning and without any
interesting messages in the backend log file. I see only stuff like
this:

I don't have a clue what's going on here. Every time I've tested the
/video partition from the mythbackend server it's been working fine. I
don't seem to be able to make the connection fail but then in the
middle of the day or the middle of the night, when there isn't
anything going on I'll attempt to use a frontend box and find that the
backend is no longer running.

This is Gentoo, 2.6.12-gentoo-r6 on both the server and the remote NFS
machine. The NFS mount is using tcp and 8K packets as verified by
ethereal on the mythbackend machine.

Help! :-(

Thanks,
Mark
