Thanks for the explanation. So i guess in the end, mvp only understands mpeg2. So, like you said,
the transcoding from mpeg4/divx etc has to happen at the server side.
IMHO, media mvp can be a very good frontend under $100 for serving analog/SDTV. I was thinking
about using an XBOX as frontend. But I think I'll go with MVP right now. I went to another forum
and found out that I need to get a D3A version (yellow sticker on the box). D3 version was very
bad.
