Hi Dell/Other users with noisy cdroms Add at the end of /etc/rc.local hdparm -E 1 /dev/hdx (x is your cdrom hdc probably) Noisy, when seeking, harddisk goes away with hdparm -M 128 /dev/hdx (x is your bootdrive hda probably) Henk Schoneveld
