I have looked at the README. I have a device ID 0x00F1-type 6600GT
(made by PNY). What version do you have? Also, if you run:
xvinfo | grep -i colorkey
Do you get something like:
"XV_COLORKEY" (range 0 to 16777215)
"XV_AUTOPAINT_COLORKEY" (range 0 to 1)
"XV_COLORKEY" (range 0 to 16777215)
"XV_AUTOPAINT_COLORKEY" (range 0 to 1)
If not, you don't have working Xv support.
