OK, I'll commit a fix in a couple minutes.  I had the round vs ceil
fix in my tree already but wanted to verify that fixed his problem
before committing.

It seemed to work fine for me, but I guess whether it worked or
not for someone would depend on whether normal_speed = 1.1 fell
on the 1.09 or 1.11 side of 1.1.
