) for the various fixes and workarounds with regards to the daylight 
time issue

My favorite timezone fix (workaround) is the simple "Virgin Islands" 
workaround. That's the one I use

Set your timezone to America/Virgin Islands (America/St. Thomas). 
Restart mythtvsetup; dump the programming info; run mythfilldatabase and 
you're all set until next fall...

Hopefully the bug will be fixed then.
