[mythtv-users] Storage space and PVR-250

I'll admit that I've never really played with
transcoding because MPEG-2 is good enough for my
purposes (I don't usually take the shows off of the
machine, they stay on it until I watch them and delete
them).

However, I believe that you'll want to go back into
the recording profiles.  You should notice that
there's profiles for MPEG-2 cards, V4L (I think that's
what it's called) cards, and Transcoders.  Under
Transcoders, there's then another set of categories
for the source input (MPEG-2 versus RTJPEG), and by
selecting the appropriate category, you can play with
the parameters.
