[mythtv-users] Changing channel via serial port

I've been searching the web and this list for some time now, trying to find 
the answer to the following:

I have a Thomson DSR475T sattellite reciever, and would like Myth to control 
channel changes via the serial port (the decoder has indeed a port labeled 
'serial'). But I'm completely stuck on this. I can't find any information at 
all regarding my Thomson. My sattellite provider is Canal Digital (Norway). 
I've emailed them - but they don't bother answering me at all. The manual 
provided with the top set box do not mention the serial port beside the fact 
it is truly there...

Now I know Thomson is the maker behind several brands of equipment. My hope is 
that this box of mine is compatible with top set boxes know to work with the 
consept of control via serial cable.

Does anyone have information on this matter, or any tip that would point me in 
the right direction?
