Thanks for the reply.  The log file does not indicate
anything wrong.  Here is a portion of the log:

The "transcoded" file is the same size as the original
file.  When I setup the Mythfrontend there was not
anything obviously wrong when I configured the 'Low
Quality' profile for the HD3000 card.
