[mythtv-users] Problem watching TV

Try running:
 mplayer /dev/video0 (or whatever number video device your capture card is)

Or you can run:
cat /dev/video0 > /tmp/test.mpg
for a few seconds and then Ctrl+C the capture. This will have recorded an 
MPG of what is coming in your capture card.
then you can run:
mplayer /tmp/test.mpg
to play it back.

If the capture card is working, you'll get video playback. If not, the issue 
is with the capture card, not MythTV.
