[mythtv-users] Audio/Sound Problem - This worked

Without Jarod's guide, we would all be lost, except for Jarod.

I have a PVR-350, so keep that in mind.  The following
applies only to my setup.

In "Get and install capture card driver", everything worked
except - No Sound.  After Google searching for 
  
  modprobe msp3400-ivtv

I gatherered enough information to start trial-and-error.
Here's what worked to get sound:

  rmmod ivtv-fb
  rmmod ivtv
  rmmod msp3400
  depmod -a
  modprobe msp3400-ivtv
  modprobe ivtv
  modprobe ivtv-fb

Next, as in the section referenced above,

  cat /dev/video0 > /tmp/test_capture.mpg
  mplayer /tmp/test_capture.mpg

and finally, there was sound to go with the video!

One place I found that has some information from Axel is

I haven't found a way to make the sound work
permanently, but that seems to be easy enough
with more experimenting.  I noticed a few postings
mentioning sound problems and took a break to
post the (good) results of getting sound to work.
