Thanks for the tips guys. Very informative. I went for the NFS route
because I don't use the slave backend as a frontend ever so I don't
have to worry about the double net traffic you mentioned. That plus I
only have 2 gig free on the slave backend. :)

Now if I could only get my Matrox card to work properly with the 2.6
kernel. Time to do some more searching.
