Hmm, today we got a fax that there is a new Nokia receiver/decoder for
Essent/Multikabel/Casema (note: not UPC..)
and I have found some information that the Siemens receiver/decoder card
I have works with UPC.. So I'm still not sure if it can handle the
signal at all..
Do you have channel ID information (VID, AID etc.) on these FTA channels?
My goal is to get the cardreader going too, maybe even install the
original software on the Siemens if I can get an image of it.. (runs on
Win95.. shudder..) and pop in a TV-Home smartcard. The box can be
controlled by remote control so lirc might do the trick in getting control.
The Siemens DVB-PCI software has a recording function and I assume it
does that in the MPEG2 format. With some clever scripting and getting
the box to record to a network share it should be possible to connect it
to MythTV..
