Well I have started on redhat, then moved to debian for the ease of
administration but I decided to take the plunge and follow Jarods
instructions to the letter, downloading the FC2 DVD and installing per
his instructions and by the end I had a 90% working MythTV station, I
didnt have all the standard hardware and I dont code very well so
getting LIRC working well at first, but I could watch tv and schedule
recordings,

from start to finish it took about 3 hours with download time and
reboots etc it was the easiest I have had installing MythTV
