Those codecs are to play real nuppelvideo files. The PVR-250 records
in straight MPEG2 video with an MPEG-1 layer 2 audio stream. I opened
one of my .nuv files with gspot, http://headbands.com/gspot , to check
what codecs I am using to decode it. According to gspot I do NOT have
a codec installed to play them back. That said, they play just fine in
WMP if I just right-click and open with WMP.

FWIW, I opened a transcoded file (MPEG4) with gspot and it reports
"File Type: Unknown"
