Start with linuxtv.org, where the dvb modules are homed.
The 2.6 -mm series had dvb for a while now, so this is one way
to build a working kernel.

Mythtv still has "issues", but in general it works. The dvb apps
(off linuxtv.org) have a useful scan utility which will give you
the numbers you need.
