[mythtv-users] Problem tuning and switching channels - newbie question

do a grep on your dmesg  ---dmesg | grep bttv
you bttv driver might not load at startup but the other programs pick it 
   and run it.  Also make sure the right card is identified in your bttv 
setup (MDK makes the changes in /etc/modprobe.conf (at least on 10.1)) 
Make sure you also have the tuner set up correctly.  It could be trying 
to tune using  a different broadcast frequencies and XAW sets it up 
correctly.
