[mythtv-users] mythtv newcomer.. need help setting up live tv

here is my .aoundrc file if you guys need it (i am using my onboard soundcard)
pcm.intel8x0 {
type hw
card 0
}

ctl.intel8x0 {
type hw
card 0
}

so ALSA:hw:0,0 should work but it keeps resetting itself to /dev/dsp
