The Mother board has two 10 pin headers (2 rows of 5) one for com1 and one 
for com2.  My 7N1F2 came with one 9-pin D-type cable so you can use one of 
the two ports.  I guess you will need to buy a second 9-pin cable to use 
both serial ports.  You will need two serial ports if you use lirc for 
remote control of mythtv and a blaster to change channels on your Direct TV.
