[mythtv-users] newbie ... need help setting live tv .. no sound

Sounds to me like your sound isn't properly configured in mythtv. I
would try something like:
cat /dev/random > /dev/dsp
and if you hear static then that's your audio card. Then make sure
that's the one listed in your mythtv setup.
