[mythtv-users] Help with tuning in to HDTV/AC3 channels

Dear all,

I am a newbie and I almost got MythTV setup up. The only thing left is I 
can't seem to get AC3 audio working. I can watch normal SDTV with MPEG 
audio just fine. But when I change to AC3 audio (e.g. APID 651 for TEN 
Digital in Perth), the video will become jerky and the audio will have 
nothing but occasional sharp spiking sounds.

Also, is AC3 audio Layer 1 Audiostream? That doesn't sound right. The 
BRate for video also seems lower than normal.

Similiary, I cannot watch HDTV becoz of this AC3 problem.

I am using MythTV from CVS, updated 15 Oct 2004, Australian Western time.

My machine specs:
Pentium4-2.6Ghz, 1GB RAM DDR, Nvidia FX5600, Mandrake 10.1(Community 
Edition), Sound Blaster Audigy, TwinHan VisionPlus DVB-T PCI.
