I get those errors as well... dunno why... I haven't tried to chase it down yet because I'm 
fighting ivtv right now.

Do you have a PVR-250? I know that i2c is used for the remote control. I suspect that 
it's also used to monitor the CPU temp.

try 'modprobe i2c-proc' and see if it goes away.

With which file system was this drive formatted, do you mean xfs? and is that file 
system enabled/supported in the new kernel? Just a thought. I didn't see this when I 
upgraded the kernel.
