[mythtv-users] Frontend crashing on Gentoo after 15.1->16 upgrade

have seen this error in many posts, and I have it also while using CVS,
so that is not the cure. There are MANY proposed *workarounds*, but all
leave some form of the problem. No one thing has yet solved these crashes.
