OK well i rebooted last night and was going to continue working on the
box and now everything seems to work fine.. Go figure. So we'll see
how everythings fairs after a reboot because now for some reason my
remote does not work (I did grab the rpm for my new kernel) and I am
battling getting my vnc server working. For some reason it connects
and I get a command prompt on the screen but i don't get a visual of
the desktop.

Oh well another day another battle i guess, at least my mythtv box is
somewhat useful again

thanks
