mplayer doesn't support DVD menus. Many folks favor xine or ogle for that 
reason alone. I rarely watch a DVD (and still have a standalone player), so I 
haven't spent much time on it. There's a fair amount of info in the list 
archives about using either xine or ogle though. (I'm planning to take some 
of that info on xine and put it on my site, since this is a frequent 
request).

ATrpms has some codecs, FreshRPMs has some codecs, not sure where else... But 
yeah, they're apt-get'able.

Odd. Not sure what's up there... Does that happen with all DVDs? Could just be 
one that is problematic for libdvdcss to crack for some reason...
