I've actually played around with this on my KnoppMyth
box, with vanilla 0.16. I find this advice actually
causes my Myth box to freeze so hard that I have to
power it off to reset it. I can't even ssh into the
box to shut it down gracefully. After rebooting,
there is nothing in the logs to indicate why it froze.

Why does this seemingly innocuous setting cause such a
huge problem? Why is it recommended? Does the
benefit outweigh the stress on my box turning it off
and on a bunch of times trying to get the setting to
work?
