The exemption listed here seems to specifically allow DVD players that create
"Airline Versions" of movies. I heard about these a couple of years ago, I
think they came from Utah. Basically it was a "smart" DVD player that
downloaded info about a DVD, and automatically skipped any nudity or some
violence. It was made for people who thought that Titanic was the best movie
ever made, but shouldn't have had that little sex scene with what's-her-name
bare chest.
