[mythtv-users] mplayer hangs display on video end

Robert,

the total lack of any info on your set up is a problem.  You should dump

lspci -v

that'll at least give us some hints.  Most probably it's because your 
card has a wonky driver which doesn't reset the system properly.  The 
fact you're using VESA driver is a bad sign.  Almost all cards have a 
more specific driver available, for FC2 to install VESA as default is 
not good.
