Ok....well then my NEXT guess is that I didnt have the 
nvidia-graphics-devel package, which from reading thru the list here, I 
believe it makes symlinks for the various version Nvidia driver's XvMC 
libs to be linked so that Myth can see them/use them....cause after I 
installed that nvidia-graphics-devel, I could compile Myth with 
lXvMCNVIDIA and lXvMC, and I see that XvMC is now working on my 
frontend...and I can clearly play live TV or recorded shows from my 
pcHDTV3k card on my AMD XP2000+/FX5700LE/768 RAM...not too shabby, 
noticeable drop in CPU usage and can switch chans and no blank screens, 
etc.  So glad this is working.  Thanks for all the help everyone.
