Yeah, my brother's computer sometimes will refuse to boot because
"hardware moniter found an error." I eventually figured out that the
problem was that the PSU was not putting out enough amps on the 3.3
volt line from a cold boot, but would work ok once it got warmed up.
Bad PSUs can cause all sorts of problems.
