I don't want to start a holy war but what is your favorite religion? I
mean come on, this has been beat to death, do a search.

Any distro will work... all the distros you have listed work and if
you are proficient, use the one you like best. Also being "proficient"
to me means being able to compile software. Mythtv isn't any harder to
compile than any other program. The main issue most people have are
getting the capture card to work. The easiest distro however is
knoppmyth.

Any distro will work. What you actually need to do is get lirc working
because that is what you use to use *any* remote under linux. <- note
it says linux not debian, redhat, etc...

Do a search: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/ next time.

Any distro will work and knoppmyth is made for myth but if you did a
search you would have found that. Jarrod has an excellent guide for FC
but if you did a search you would have found that as well. You would
have also found people talking about whatever issues they have with
whatever distro they chose.
