[mythtv-users] Remote makes the screen blank for a second

Does anyone here use the following with out a screen blanking issue:

Pundit
Fedora Core 2 (with updates)
Myth installed via Atrpms/jarod's guide?

If they do, is it upto date?

I have a feeling that gentoo might be the answer.... as it is probably
an lirc/X issue.
