Yes, July 1, 2005, is the last date HDTV tuner cards can be 
manufactured without DRM.  Pre-flag cards will continue to work as 
they always have, and can even be re-sold, but who knows when 
quantities will get even scarcer.

So far, the pcHDTV is the only one we've seen with Linux drivers. 
(There are rumors of some success with drivers for the Dvico, but I 
haven't tested.)  It's still a little more difficult to get HD 
working than SD, but several Myth developers have been doing great 
work to get the kinks worked out.  Thanks!
