Hi, I'll start with my setup just so you know what hardware im running:

 

EPIA M10000 using the unichrome cvs and cvs DRM, also using about ½ a month
old cvs mythtv

Single Nova-t DVB

120 gig hdd

 

The Problem:

Certain channels such as abc1 only broadcast during a certain time period
(e.g 15:00 - 20:00), if mythtv tunes my dvb card to this channel while it is
not broadcasting, the std tells me it will give up retrying in so many
seconds, then it holds on that channel until I press esc. If I go back to
watch live tv it tries to tune into this channel again, ie infinite loop.
And I get stuck.

 

Yes I could write a work around, E.g cron SQL job to enable and disable the
channel at certain times. But this seems ridiculous to me.

 

My first question, does anyone else have this problem? If so what do they do
about it?

 

My response if no one has a suitable suggestion: its time I got involved!

Is the problem with the DVB nova-t driver? Do other DVB cards do this?

Is the problem with mythtv just not acting correctly?

Any idea where the problem is and ill get my coding hat out!
