The 150 is a blackbird, and as I said, I don't know about the 500.  
Google up the ivtv dev list.  When these boards were first announced 
Kevin and crew discussed them thoroughly, I just don't remember all the 
details, but that's what the archives are for. :-)

Jelle's driver (from the link above) isn't the only one for the 
PVR-150.  Chris Kennedy has added early alpha support for the 150 in the 
experimental ivtv drivers (0.3.0) but it currently doesn't do sound.  
But someday in the near future you should be able to have your 150 
sitting next to your 250 in the same machine using the same driver.
