[mythtv-users] New System: Corrupt Video (even during POST)

Hi, I'm putting together my first mythtv system using the following main
components:

Mainboard: Chaintech 7NIF2
CPU: AMD XP 2800+ Barton
Memory: PQI 512MB(2x256) dual channel PC2700

After installing the mainboard and installing CPU and memory, I get
corrupt (garbled) video output, including the POST messages and any
messages that may follow (I can't read them... :)

I have tried the following, all with the same results:

- Remove PQI memory, replace with single stick of Kingston 256MB PC2700
- Add AGP video adapter and plug in monitor to AGP card instead of
onboard video out
- Three different monitors that all work correctly on other systems

Does anyone have a clue what may be wrong? Even the BIOS setup is
garbled, so I can't check/change any BIOS settings.

Should I RMA the mainboard or can anyone offer some troubleshooting tips
I can use to try to resolve this problem?

Thanks,

--
Jeff
