========= ...I just installed a frontend on a K6-2/500 with 256mb of RAM. ========= Same here, with slightly less RAM. Smooth operation, it seems performance is affected by the width/height size. 512x480 seems to be the sweet spot with about 2700 bitrate. Good picture, no stutter, even with live tv.
