Turns out my tuner card wasn't properly seated in the PCI slot.  
However, it also appears that Knoppix-Myth lacks a driver for the cx88 
tuner chip.  I also figured out how to set the city for the weathe.  I 
thought it would use the ZIP code I entered for the TV listings by 
default.  In fact, I think there should be general config page to set 
your location and time zone.  All submodules (tv listings, weather, 
etc..) should use that as a default but then let the user change it if 
they want to get listings from one ZIP code and weather from another 
ZIP, etc...
