Haven't you been reading the list? ;-) There will be a release
of MythTV version 0.15 in a few days (before your data runs out)
which includes internal support for the DataDirect service without
going through XMLTV.
This has several advantages. First, there is no longer a dependency
on XMLTV or any of it's dependencies. However, the quality of data
is much better. We get fuller descriptions, actor and cast info, and
most importantly real programid numbers which are used for more
accurate duplicate episode matching. Much of this info is lost when
XMLTV boils down the data to just the fields that they provide.
Therefore, even though the timing is a bit tight, there is no
reason to use tv_grab_dd and miss out on the great data you'll have
access to. If you haven't already, you may want to go labs.zap2it.com
to sign up and check off the channels you want to receive in your
listings. Having this taken care of ahead of time will make your
0.15 upgrade that much easier and quicker.
Good luck,
