We are all MythTV users/fans/developers/community members.

And "refuse to fix the existing docs" - that's what we are doing. You 
just don't like the tools we use - so use your own, they suit a 
developer down to the ground. But please don't stop us using ours - you 
won't complain when I eventually get round to submitting a patch 'cos I 
use emacs and not vi will you... ?

It's different - not hugely - we're not forcing it on anyone. We're not 
looking to 'split' the community. We're trying to contribute.
And it won't happen tonight - it'll take a while.

I'll bet MythTV 0.01 wasn't too stable either :)

PS That's my calm voice of reason mail for tonight - off to watch some 
recordings on Myth with the family.
I'm glad they don't realise how hostile the place where Myth came from 
has become - it would really spoil it.
