[mythtv-users] (OT?) X10 Lola transceiver and DWL-503 issues. (was: Re: PVR-250MCE and Jarod's guide)

Thanks for all the help - I got everything working last night with the
exception of the X10 remote and a DWL-503 Wireless USB adapter.

That brings me to a different, possibly OT issue. I can't seem to get
the X10 remote working - I have all the appropriate drivers loaded etc,
but when I run irw, I see nothing. I'm wondering if the transceiver is
busted - is the little LED supposed to light up or something?

WRT the 503 USB adapter - has anyone got one of these (or any wireless
USB adapter using the at76c503 driver) working? When I plug it in, the
driver loads (according to lsmod), but there are no wlanX devices in
/dev/ so iwconfig errors out - I was wondering if wireless support is
part of Axel's kernel build (same uniproc kernel as in Jarod's HOWTO)?
If so, is there anything that needs to be done to set up the wlanX
devices? I tried googling on this issue, but the SNR is too low for me
to find anything useful.

Thanks again for any assistance
Paul

Edit /etc/apt/sources.list, change the ATrpms repo line from at-testing
to at-bleeding, save, then apt-get update, then apt-get install ivtv
kernel-module-ivtv-`uname -r`. I highly recommend reverting back to
at-testing and apt-get updating again after you've installed the newer
ivtv, or you may blow something up. ;-)
