My system is up and running really well--thanks to everyone involved.
My
only "complaint" is that my HD makes LOTS of noise. I don't want to
change the HD/case, and all the video files are on an ext3 partition
with the fewest possible inodes (-T largefile4) for whatever that may
be
worth. (For the record, my impression is that there are now
less/smoother disk writes under ext3 than when I was using reiserfs,
but
any difference is minor.)

However I was thinking--for other reasons as well--of switching my
current hauppage wintv go with a pvr250. Does anyone think this will
help with disk writes? I assume all that disk activity is just the
writing of large files, but maybe there is some memory management stuff

going on as well. Any thoughts/opinions??

Thanks
