Hey list, I'm building my first MythTV box and I've got a question.
I'm trying to decide whether or not to get a pvr250, or use my cpu to
encode caps. I've got a duron 1.4ghz I'm going to put in this box. Is
there anyway with MythTV that you could set your computer to convert
from a large mjpeg(@19 or so) file to a small XviD file when the
computer is idle. If you can't do that already do you think it'd be a
good idea for me to put the time in and try to get mythtv to do it
myself (I'm a programmer and have experience with virtual dub etc.)? Or
should I just be lazy get a pvr250, and encode to mpeg2?
