You can do that under the Videos module.  I do that with the Seinfelds 
I'm archiving.  Once I cut the commercials, I rename it, move it to a 
folder for the videos, and make the appropriates inserts/deletes to 
clean up recorded shows and create the entry for videos.  My script is a 
bit rough, though (and in PHP :).
