I have 3 M179 cards and they are working great.  I think part of the problem
could be put on cheap cases and power supplies people are putting these
things in.  Mine worked pretty much flawlessly in a Dell PowerEdge 2300
server I was using as my slave backend, but when I moved them to my
el-cheapo "athlon 700 w/ 128MB RAM plus case & motherboard for only $100",
then the quality went down the drain.  I swapped out the piece of junk
350 watt power supply that came in that case with another one and my quality
issues and wavy lines went away.  I'm not saying that their shielding doesn't
leave something to be desired, just that it's also a case (no pun intended) of
"you get what you pay for".  Decent power supply cured my problems.  Now if I
could just get some time to play with this M150 and try to get it working...
