[mythtv-users] Success, except for the remote.

Gah! After my overly morose failure email of a few days ago, I'm happy to
say I have this whole thing ALMOST working. (It's amazing what $280 in new
hardware can do for your frontend system.)

I got the MCE remote with the USB receiver that Dan Conti was kind enough
to hack into lirc. It works, except for a serious problem with duplicate
keys.

With mythtv native lirc I have a ~/.mythtv/lircrc with entries like...

begin
    prog = mythtv
    button = Two
    repeat = 0
    config = 2
end

Every entry has that repeat = 0 in it, which I got by searching the
archives. As I read it, that's supposed to make lirc ignore repeats, but
it's not.

So I figured maybe myth's native lirc support didnt like repeat. Moving
that lircrc out of the way, I create a ~/.lircrc for irxevent with
entries like...

begin
    prog = irxevent
    button = Two
    repeat = 0
    config = Key 2 CurrentWindow
end

And run irxevent.

In both cases the repeats are amazingly bad. It's almost impossible to do
anything useful. I mean, it reads just fine, and if I change the config =
lines in each entry, I get the expected keys, just no love from repeat.

Any suggestions?
